During her Cowboy Carter tour stop in Houston, Beyoncé experienced a heart-stopping moment when a flying stage prop malfunctioned mid-performance. The incident occurred as she sang “16 Carriages” from a red convertible suspended above the audience—a dazzling signature of her current show.

As the convertible began to tilt dangerously, the superstar calmly halted the performance. “Stop. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop,” she said into her microphone, prompting the music to stop and technicians to lower the vehicle slowly to the stage. Applause erupted from the crowd as relief replaced the initial gasps of concern.

Following the show at NRG Stadium, Parkwood Entertainment released a statement explaining the situation: “Tonight in Houston, at NRG Stadium, a technical mishap caused the flying car, a prop Beyoncé uses to circle the stadium and see her fans up close, to tilt. She was quickly lowered and no one was injured. The show continued without incident.”

Once safely back on solid ground, Beyoncé reassured her fans with a heartfelt message: “If ever I fall, I know y’all would catch me,” she said to the supportive hometown crowd.

Later, she took to Instagram to share images from the event, including snapshots of the unexpected moment, accompanied by the caption: “I love you Houston.”
